Welcome to Rova. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about how we handle information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our job search platform.
information we collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Usage Information: When you visit Rova, we may collect information about your browsing activity, including pages viewed, search queries, and filters used.
- Device Information: We may collect information about the device and browser you use to access our platform, including IP address, browser type, and operating system.
- Email Address: If you create a job alert or an account, we collect the email address you provide, along with the search filters you choose for your alerts.
- Recruiter Listing: If you sign up to be visible to recruiters, we also collect the name you enter, the roles you pick, and your LinkedIn profile link if you choose to give one. We collect only what you type — we do not pull anything from LinkedIn or any other site.
- Cookies: We use a cookie to keep you signed in to your account on this device. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
- Analytics: We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to understand which pages are popular and how visitors find us. These tools set no cookies, do not collect personal information, and do not track you across other websites.

We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and improve our job search services
- Display relevant job listings and company information
- Analyze usage patterns and optimize the platform
- Maintain the security and functionality of our services
- Send you the job-alert emails you sign up for — only after you confirm your address, and every alert email includes an unsubscribe link
- Show your recruiter listing to recruiters in Rova's DFW Recruiter Network — only if you signed up for it and confirmed your address
email alerts and your account
Job alerts use double opt-in: we only activate an alert after you click the confirmation link we email you. We use your email address to deliver the alerts you requested, to send you sign-in links, and — if you joined the recruiter network — so that recruiters can contact you. We do not send unrelated marketing. You can remove individual alerts from the manage page or use the unsubscribe link in any alert email. To delete your account and email address entirely, contact us.
recruiter network
On some pages you can sign up to be visible to recruiters in Rova's DFW Recruiter Network. This is optional and free, and it happens only if you sign up for it and then click the confirmation link we email you. Until then, no recruiter can see you.
- What recruiters see: the name you entered, the roles you picked, your LinkedIn profile link if you gave one, and your email address so they can contact you. Nothing else.
- Who they are: recruiters who have registered with Rova and are hiring for roles in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
- Where it appears: only inside Rova, to signed-in recruiters. Your listing is not a public web page, is not indexed by search engines, and does not appear on the job board.
- Stopping it: you can unlist yourself at any time from the manage page or with the unlist link in our emails. Unlisting hides you from recruiters immediately. Unlisting does not affect your job alerts, and removing your alerts does not affect your listing.
information sharing
We do not sell your personal information to data brokers or advertisers. The only time we share your information with anyone is when you sign up for the recruiter network, and then only in the way described above. When you click on external job links or company websites, you will be directed to third-party sites that have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites.
data security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
third-party links
Our platform may contain links to external websites, including company career pages and job application sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party sites.
changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
